Play therapy, child-parent therapy, parenting workshops
Play is the child’s language and their most powerful tool for communicating and making sense of their world. “Challenging behavior” is often the child getting their needs met in the only way they know. Play therapy allows children the opportunity to work through and heal difficulties in their lives while learning new coping and problem-solving skills. Our infant mental health specialists work with parents of children from birth to 12 years of age.
What is the Child and Family Center?
It is a safe place for children and families to come to resolve problems, learn new skills, and find the joy in being a family again. Our senior therapists are all licensed professionals who are Registered Play Therapists, infant mental health specialists, and Collaborative Problem Solving Clinicians with extensive training and education. They work with parents and children to assess potential problems and explore solutions in order to create healthy, happy relationships.
