Associate Director - Roxanne Grobbel, J.D., L.C.S.W., RPT-S, Certified EMDR Therapist
Roxanne Grobbel is a licensed attorney in Florida and Michigan and practiced law before returning to school to follow her original desire of becoming a psychotherapist. She received her masters degree in social work from Florida Atlantic University and became a licensed clinical social worker. She is a registered play therapy supervisor and will soon complete course work to become an Infant Mental Health Specialist, through the Center for Prevention and Early Intervention Policy at Florida State University.
She is currently the Clinical Director for All ‘Bout Children, Inc. She coordinates the program evaluation and research for the Childcare Community Social and Emotional Wellness programs and oversees clinical training and supervision of therapists and interns. As a registered play therapy supervisor and Child-Parent Psychotherapist, Roxanne counsels children, parents, and teachers facing a broad range of challenges including, trauma, attachment difficulties, divorce, depression, and behavioral problems. Roxanne is also a certified EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapist. EMDR is a powerful therapeutic method, which accelerates the treatment of a wide range of clinical issues including trauma, anxiety and phobias.
Roxanne is currently the Co-President with Jane Robinson of the Palm Beach Martin County Chapter for the Florida Association for Play Therapy. She and Jane have written a chapter, “Play Therapy Techniques with Very Young At-Risk Children in Child Care Setting” for a book edited by Charles Schaefer. Roxanne lectures and presents workshops on various topics to mental health professionals and preschool educators, and is available to see clients on an individual basis at her private practice.
